Motivation and targets - COLD CALLING

Keeping motivated is one of the key challenges you can face, especially when you don't get the results you expect.

When cold calling you might face loads of rejection and this can hurt you or kill your initial enthusiasm.

If you don't want to fall into that trap, you need to set up targets you can easily reach.

These targets can be for instance:
  • 5 calls between 9-10 am
  • 20 calls within a week
  • Etc.

These are affordable targets, right?

The trick is to learn to deal with rejection and move on to the next call very fast.

If you trained and prepared, cold calling is VERY easy to do.

But it does require a set of VERY specific skills.

There is only one way to acquire and own these skills!

PRACTICE!

All the books in the world can give you hints and techniques but what makes a real difference is ACTION!

TAKE ACTION CONSISTENTLY.

It probably takes 1 to 3 months to REALLY master a cold calling script and be comfortable with it.

Once you get results flowing, it is of course easy to stay motivated to do more.
